Chief Executive Officer
United States of America based 501(c)3 international relief charity is looking for a spontaneous, contagiously positive visionary Chief Executive Officer who is engaging as such, an accomplished communicator, motivator, & fundraiser with a high level of emotional intelligence. The successful candidate will be fluent in motivational structure and empowerment thinking while possessing unquestionable integrity and the pursuit of what is Right as exemplified colloquially by the Golden Rule over all else and comfortably demonstrated through the lens of complete public scrutiny. This position also requires someone who can lead change to create increased organizational effectiveness and be flexible to trends and changes in market conditions. Qualified candidates should see every bump in the road as an opportunity of architecture as opposed to a problem and understand the difference without asking for counsel from the Board. This person will walk with and lead initiators and proactive “solvers” who will follow through and take needed action independently.
The CEO reports to the Board of Directors and administers overall policy and philosophy as approved by the Board and stated within our Mission Statement.
Job Summary
The Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") provides leadership for all aspects of the organization’s operations with an emphasis on individual personal engagement, fiscal responsibility, and talent acquisition.
The CEO will be a mission-driven, collaborative and innovative leader. They will serve as the brand ambassador and champion of our Mission internationally, which includes connecting with a constituency of philanthropists, donors, recipients of services, individuals, associations, agencies, Chambers, education partners, governments, businesses, and other stakeholders. The CEO will leverage the power of relationships and networks, working across private, public, and corporate sectors to improve conditions in the Human Condition by making “The Unexpected Difference”. They will possess a high level of broad business skills, human resources background, financial acumen, marketing principles, and strategic management to acquire talent, generate resources and financial support for the organization. The CEO will be a driver of change, open to technology and new ways to monetize opportunities. As chief spokesperson, they will ensure that Our Mission, people, programs, and services are presented in a positive, collaborative manner.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Commitment to Our Mission and values as outlined by the Board of Directors, including the ability to build relationships internally and with other Regional and Country Managers, State, Province, and local governments, education, nonprofit and private sector organizations.
Oversight of the strategic plan and the processing to identify future direction for the organization and the communities we serve.
Lead the development, implementation, and execution of the annual operational plan and manage the process.
Leverage and coordinate resources to ensure strategic alignment in the areas of community impact, resource development, and talent acquisition and alignment. Serve as the principal resource to the Board of Directors and its key committees while handling day-to-day operations and decision making.
Resource Development
Oversee fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, developing innovative future strategies, researching funding sources, establishing an effective process to approaching funders, submitting proposals and grants, and overseeing fundraising records and documentation.
With the Board of Directors, work toward campaign growth, fundraising successfully within the traditional campaign and planned giving channels and utilizing newer development methods and opportunities to increase giving and improve organizational sustainability.
Maintain and foster relationships with current individuals, foundations, and corporate donors, and identify, cultivate and solicit prospective donors and corporate partners to further develop fundraising opportunities and increase levels of engagement.
Organizational Management
Build and lead a high-performing team and ensure all team members are trained, aligned, and collaborating to achieve year over year improved organizational results.
Maintain accountability for the operational and fiscal integrity of the organization which includes ROI analysis of events and programs. Manage organizational spending, monitor budget compliance, and mitigate risk.

Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Languages: English/Spanish required. Additional preference for advanced and additional muti lingual capabilities.

Experience: 3 to 5 years leading an organization through change, nonprofit experience in fundraising, project management, procurement, event planning, event analysis, social media engagement, supervising managers, conducting performance evaluations, documenting coaching and counseling action plans, fiscal oversight, exposure to payroll and human resources, negotiating vendor contracts, strategic planning, and participating in high profile community events. Salary: Commensurate with experience and aggressively more with potential limited only by 100% public scrutiny, Board approval, and performance. Bonus Plan: As determined by the Executive Board.
